'First Mate' makes a vigorous 10" tall x 21" wide clump of narrow, thick golden leaves, each surrounded by a dramatic dark green border. In mid August, the clumps are topped with 2' flower spikes of light lavender flowers. I think you will really find this hosta quite unique.
