Extrême-Orient based on specific case studiesRob Mallet Stevens's (1886 1945) writings before the 1914 1918 war reveal his admiration for the Vienna Secession, which he discovered in the mansion of his aunt, Suzanne Stevens Stoclet, built in Brussels by the Austrian architect Josef Hoffmann. He wrote about the theater and was also the first to take an interest in architecture in Japan. After the Great War, his focus shifted to the 7th art.
